    Background Information

    CARE Kenya and partners will be implementing the “Enhancing crop yields and profitability in Kenya through biological plant protection” project in Kenya granted via the Danida Market Development Partnerships (DMDP) modality in the course of 2017 and beyond. Consequently, CARE Kenya seeks to procure the services of an independent team of external consultants to design, plan and conduct a rigorous baseline study. The study methodology should be replicable to use for the mid-term and final evaluation of the project. The baseline should take place as soon as possible in order to be aligned with project initiation.

    CARE International in Kenya is seeking sealed quotations for the supply of Latrine construction materialsin Ifo and Dagahaley Refugee Camps In Daadab Refugee complex as per the attached RFQ . Kindly note the prices qouted MUST be inclusive VAT and Transportation costs of the materials to Ifo and Dagahaley Refugee Camps.If your company is interested in supplying the latrine construction materials, please take into account the following CARE operational requirements when submitting your quotation:

    CARE will enter into an agreement with the successful vendor for supply of latrine construction materials. The agreement can be cancelled by either party upon written notification, with or without justification.

    The official commitment from CARE for the supplying latrine construction materialswill be through an original CARE Contract Purchase Order (CPO) signed by an authorized CARE signatory. Upon receipt of an authorized CPO, the vendor will supply the latrine construction materials ?to CARE International in Kenya in Ifo and Dagahaley Camps. CARE does not make any advance/down payments and such payments shall be made as stipulated on the Purchase Order. If the vendor is unable to deliver, CARE will cancel the order.

    The vendor is required to supply latrine construction materials as per the specifications provided and fill the Request for quotation form attached. The deliveries must be within the contractual timeframe for delivery and between working hours of 8.00 am and 4.00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays. There shall be a pre-delivery inspection by CARE International in Kenya to ascertain conformance to specfication.??

    CARE holds proper ethical conduct in the highest regard. If it is discovered that corrupt or unethical practices have been undertaken by the vendor or attempted, the vendor will be disqualified from any further work with CARE.

    CARE will not provide support of any kind to a person or entity that is known to advocate terrorism or engages in terrorist activities. CARE will comply with all applicable laws and regulations that address terrorism and terrorist activity.

    Interested Bidders should provide the documentary evidence of the following;

    1. Certificate of Registration /Incorporation.
    2. Copy of VAT and/or PIN Certificate.
    3. Current Tax Compliance Certificate.
    4. Certified Bank Statements for the last one (1) year.
    5. A copy of certified Audited accounts for the past one (1) year certified by the auditors.
    6. Detailed Company profile /Business profile with references who may be contacted.
    7. Evidence of supply of the required goods for at least the last three years (Please attach copies of purchase orders ).
    8. A tender from a tenderer whose current/ongoing project(s) is/are behind schedule and without any approved extension time.
    9. A tender from a tenderer who has been served with default notice on ongoing project(s) or terminated in a good contract.
    10. A tender from a tenderer whose QUOTE is incomplete.Bidders must bid for all items.

    Further, tenders from the following tenderers shall be treated as NON RESPONSIVE and therefore subject to automatic disqualification;

    The sealed bids should be delivered to the above office so as to be received on or before 4:00 p.m. Wednesday 27th?? September 2016.

    On returning the bid the vendor must sign a sealed bid tracking sheet at the CARE Reception before placing the bid in the appropriate tender box.

    Following the bid opening, the successful vendor will be contacted.
