    Job Summary

    CARE International?s Secretariat is seeking a Membership Development Coordinator to work with the Governance, Membership and Organisational Development (GMOD) team, which is led by the Deputy Secretary General and responsible for CARE?s global governance, leadership, membership development, accountability and overall organisational development. The purpose of this job is to support the CI Membership Director role of developing and setting up CARE International new members.? S/he will have excellent research and communication skills with the ability to manage large amounts of data and reports, analyzing trends, summarizing key findings, identifying lessons learned and communicating/presenting information in user-friendly and accessible ways.

    Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator -REF MEC/07/2015 - Based in Nairobi County

    Reporting to the Sector Manager, The M&E Coordinator will be responsible for setting up and managing a dynamic and functional monitoring and evaluation system for enhanced health programs performance, contribute to dynamic programmatic development, capacity development of staff/partners and provide support in aspects that contribute to strengthening of monitoring and evaluation as well as quality of program performance of health sector interventions.     The Kisumu integrated Family Health Project, an EU-funded project jointly implemented by CARE Kenya, the Kenya Red Cross Society and Family Health International, was officially Launched on 19th May 2015 in Kisumu County with a huge turnout of community members and key collaborators in the intervention from Manyatta and Nyalenda informal settlements.

    Hundreds attended the launch, and were entertained by educational skits that focused on maternal and child health as well as family planning, nutritional barriers , and challenges with quality health care access. The skits were acted out by Community Health Volunteers who will mobilize and refer clients to health facilities as part of implementing the project.

    The Kisumu County Governor, Honorable Jack Ranguma, presided over the event as Chief Guest. The Governor emphasized the ranking of Kisumu County as still wanting in the list of maternal health indicators. He promised full support for the intervention and thanked ?the European Unio for prioritizing Kisumu as the main beneficiary of the new project.

    The European Union Delegation was represented by?Dr. Hjordis Ogendo, Head of Social Affairs and Environment Section, and MIKEL Mita. Various top County Government health officials were also in attendance, including the Chief Officer of Health; Dr. Ojwang Lusi, and the County Health Director, Dr. Kennedy Otieno.
